APPLICATION AREA
Specific surface types
Slate (eternit) surfaces, Concrete surfaces, Betonyp boards, Cement plaster, Cement-bonded chipboard surfaces
APPLICATION
Prepare the surface
Repair cracks and defects, the surface must be completely clean, dry, solid.
Remove dust, grease, oil, soot, moss and all loose, loose parts.
For smaller joints, use FUGAKRIL paintable sealant. Ideal moisture content: 3–4%.
Thorough cleaning and layer removal
Remove old, flaking or peeling paint mechanically.
Clean the surface with a high-pressure water jet or steam cleaner, then make any necessary repairs.
Wait for complete drying before proceeding.
Particularly important: pre-treatment of slate surfaces
Aged, mossy, spongy slate requires particularly thorough preparation.
The first layer of poorly cleaned slate can peel off, so it must be completely clean and stable.
Preparing the paint
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Can be applied with a teddy roller or brush. (Not recommended for airless spraying.)
Primer (1st layer)
AKROPENTA diluted 1:1 with water, or
BINDER deep primer diluted 1:5
Let it dry completely!
Second layer
Apply the paint diluted with water up to 20%. Again, wait until it dries completely.
Third layer
The 3rd layer should be diluted with max. 10% water. This provides durability, color and a water-repellent surface.
Inspection and cleaning
Clean tools with water before drying. Keep in mind: the thinner the paint, the less coverage it will have.
Drying and use
The surface, with the recommended layer order, ensures decades of durability.
Prevents the cracking of concrete tiles and the asbestos dusting of slates.
What should you pay attention to when it comes to the weather?
Can be used between: +10 °C and +30 °C. Do not apply in frost, rain or on overheated surfaces.
Done, enjoy the durable surface
The finished surface does not require any special maintenance, can be cleaned in the traditional way, and protects the base surface for many years.
